#UnitedAtTheTable
Anera, a non-political and non-religious organization, provides emergency relief and long-term development support to refugees and conflict-affected communities in Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan. Some of their priorities include providing quality healthcare and boosting access to potable water.
Immigrantly
Chef and Studio ATAO founder Jenny Dorsey joins Saadia Khan to expose the uncomfortable truths about race, class, colonialism, and the politics of food. From childhood shame to the myth of fine dining, this is a raw conversation about who controls the narrative and who gets left out.
by Valeria Luiselli
Structured around questions, Valeria Luiselli translates and asks undocumented Latin American children facing deportation; her work highlights the contradiction between the idea of America as an idea for immigrants and the reality of racism and fear-both here and back home.
In-Person Opportunities
Our friends at Welcome.US work to help newcomers transition to their new homes and change the current narrative surrounding arriving migrants and refugees. They do so by connecting newcomers with local “welcomers” or volunteers to guide newcomers in adapting to a new home.
