Dear Reader,
Leading up to the US presidential election in a few weeks, we’ve been “slicing & dicing” The Think Table into three big themes: America’s DNA, Humanity, and Policy. This quarter we are looking at the policies we don’t stop hearing about in the news. Now, we turn to easily the most intense issue of this election – the Southern Border.
As always, our goal is to separate facts from rhetoric and humanity from politics. There are undeniable national security concerns at the Southern Border. There are also innocent people looking for a better life. Worst of all, there are politicians who have decided that xenophobia is a good campaign slogan, at the expense of both national security and our shared humanity.
Let’s take a deeper look.
